If you have a NY State Teaching license, you will find a job easy. Many international schools are looking for teachers with some IB experience. You can easily take a few online and you should be fine.

Most places give a housing allowance and you use it how you want. If you wife works, it is double for many places.  Some school actually provide the house or apartment and they take into account who is traveling with you.

Pay is good for many areas. The Middle East and Asia tend to be higher pay than EU. I'd suggest joining both The International Educator and Search Associates. You will get to view and watch postings and see salary trends. Search is the better of the employment agencies. IMHO

OPENPhysEd.org is an open source Physical Education Curriculum. It has been developed and curated by Physical Educators from all over the world. It is free and open to all. Just go to the site, join and there are tons of units with lesson plans, activities, testing, etc. This is truly an amazing resource for international educators!

Please find a good digital reading log attached. During these trying times, it is important to keep our students reading vast quantities of books. This reading log lets them keep track of the books they are reading. Make a copy of it, if you use Google Classroom, share it with them by making an individual copy for each student and then let them fill it the top goal number and then start logging. It is that easy.

The Giver is one of my favorite books and I have taught with students from Grade 5 to Grade 10. Everyone loves the book. Kevin has created a great Hyperdoc that asks the Essential Questions:

Skype just launched a Meet Now feature. With Meet Now, hosts can create and share a free meeting with a few clicks. Meet Now doesn't require users to sign up or download the Skype application. This means that users can start a Skype call right from the website, much like its competitors.

Thanks for the review. Porto Alegre is one of my favorite cities in Brazil. I have spent many holidays there and love the city and the people. It has an old world charm to it. Where are you headed in the fall?

One of the best practices in education is Project Based Learning (PBL). Having taught in classrooms where this is done, it is nothing short of incredible. This is one way to get US Certification that is easy to transfer into many countries. You will need to check in Sweden what they need.The requirements will be different for private international schools and Swedish schools (which will be hard to impossible). 

For ESL, CELTA certification is good for teaching adults but not sure how high the demand is in Sweden.

Are you looking to teach in a language school or a private school?  Most schools that are international schools require certification from the USA which often requires teacher certificates from the USA. However, working in a language school, they will often hire native speakers without certification.

IHerb is not shipping to many locations based on flights and cargo planes being cancelled. I've had things stuck in Hong Kong for 6-7 weeks and still no sign of delivery. I love getting things from IHerb but until this CoVid starts to subside, it may be best to hold off on IHerb orders.
